Alignment Ventures is an early stage and an early growth stage venture creation group with a strong track record. Alignment Ventures and Dorset Capital have established an affiliate relationship, bringing together their respective complementary disciplines to apply to post-Series - A biotech and HealthTech companies suitable to be prepared and staged for their next liquidity event.
The principal of Alignment Ventures, Michael Tippie, has technical, scientific experience evaluating and selecting early treatment pathways, conducting animal studies, and developing strategies for early clinical trials, as well as corporate CEO and top management experience. For example, Michael was the CEO of TomegaVax, which became Vir Biotechnology, Inc., and in 2019 had an IPO at a valuation in excess of US$ 2 billion.
Dorset will add legal, finance, accounting, and corporate operational expertise and experience along with its network of cross-border financings and alliances in the UK.
Alignment and Dorset will collaborate in an effort to replicate the TomegaVax/Vir Bio business model and story working with investors who have made investments in a company and supplementing the existing team to reduce risk and the costs involved with getting the company staged and dressed up for the next financing.
